ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Officers of the Albany Fire Department battled a brush fire near Harris Road in Dougherty County, near Cordele Road Tuesday.

AFD Battalion Chief Keith Ambrose says that they are listing the fire cause right now as "undetermined," but suspect that it may have been caused by a trash fire that was left unattended, and got out of hand.

Ambrose says that a derelict van that was in the path of the fire burned, but no other property damage was reported.
