Some Albany church members rolled up their sleeves to donate blood in remembrance of Martin Luther King, Junior Monday.
Greater Second Mount Olive Baptist Church on East Broad Avenue held their annual blood drive.
John Bolden came with his wife to donate. He says this event is a great way to remember and honor Dr. King and the sacrifices he made.
"The least I can do is donate blood to help someone else. I'm O positive which is the universal donor and today I'm giving two donations of red cells because of my blood type," said blood donor John Bolden.
The church holds the blood drive along with the Red Cross every year on Martin Luther King Day.
