ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police are investigating a shooting that happened in broad daylight.

Police say 28 year-old Kentrell Knighton was shot in the leg around 10:30 am Sunday.

Knighton told police that he was walking near a cemetery near 1301 South McKinnley Street when a car drove by and someone shot him.

Knighton was taken to Phoebe Putney Hospital for treatment.
