ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Lee County 4H Shotgun Team held their first practice of the season today on national gun appreciation day.

Community members and county officials gathered on Jordan road to watch children shoot and discuss the 2nd Amendment and our rights.

"We wanted people to come out here and see what we had in this field, and see what we have to offer their children, what protection we give them out here, what we do for safety measures, and what we do to teach them about guns," says Glenn Smith, 4H Shotgun Team Head Coach.

Glenn Smith says he will continue to teach his students how to shoot and leave the politics up to the politicians.
