ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
An Albany gun club discounted prices for national gun appreciation day. Flint Skeet and Trap Club held Responsible Gun Owner's Appreciation Day.
With the dispute over gun control, the club's president felt it was a good time to introduce people to the sport, and show the public another side of gun owners.
"It gets lost in the shuffle and I thin that our future depends on us getting this across to the public, and to get more people involved, once they get involved, they understand and usually they are hooked for life," says Ed Stamper, Flint Skeet and Trap Club President.
The NRA declared today gun appreciation day in response to President Obama's call for stricter gun laws after the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
