A private south Georgia university just recorded a seventh consecutive year of record enrollment.
Thomas University registered 1,152 American students and nearly 150 international students this Spring Semester.
School officials attribute the increase to new sports teams, new construction, and new programs.
"Students have discovered us in many ways. We've expanded our athletic program. We have a much larger geographic reach than we've ever had in the past. So we're kind of bucking the national trend which is a decrease in enrollment," said TU President Dr. Gary Bonvillian.
Bonvillian says with the opening of their new West Campus and new academic building, he expects the upward trend to continue.
