WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

A Worth County man has a scam alert for you.

Hugh McGrath says he's been getting e-mails daily for the past several months from people claiming to have millions of dollars for him if he gives them personal information.

McGrath wants to get the message out to the public not to fall for the scams.

"If it sounds too good to be true, it is. There no money due to you from lawyers. Lawyers take their fee out of it. You should not have to forward any money to receive money," said McGrath.

Law officers say you should never give out your personal information to strangers over the internet or phone.
