ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
The Southwest Georgia Shooter's Association will host a media day preview, Friday, for Saturday's national gun appreciation day.
The event starts at 10 am at the Association's range in Baconton.
Organizers say it's a good opportunity to educate people on gun safety and responsibility.
"It's education for people who are not knowledgeable about firearms, so they can speak knowledgably about firearms and understand the legislation that is pending and how it may affect the firearms that are available or what may not be available in the future," said Organizer Steven Drew.
The general public is invited to the event. There will be a small fee for non-members to shoot at the range.
