A South Georgia cyclist who met Lance Armstrong is disappointed by his confession.
Kent Wheler is an avid cycler who has competed in many cycling events and teaches spinning and cycling classes in Albany.
Wheler says although Armstrong cheated, that shouldn't overshadow the work he's done for cancer research through the Livestrong Foundation.
"Even though we can be upset with him as a cheat, I think we also have to keep it in perspective that he's done a lot of good things for cancer so I have mixed emotions on it," said Wheler.
Armstrong, a cancer survivor, founded the Livestrong foundation in 1997.
He stepped down as chairman of the foundation in October as a result of the doping scandal.
