Firefighters are investigating after a fire broke out at a home on Cone Street in East Albany.
Officials say the fire started around 3:20 Thursday afternoon.
When firefighters arrived on scene the saw heavy smoke and flames.
Officials say no one was in the house at the time of the fire but there were signs that someone had been staying there.
They believe vagrants trying to stay warm may have started a way and it got away from them.
