ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

New School Board Chair Carol Tharin says interim superintendent Dr. David Mosely will be in his position for a while.

She says the search for a permanent superintendent won't begin for at least a couple of months.

She wants to give Dr. Mosely time to implement his system before a search begins.

"We want to give our interim superintendent time to get adjusted to our system and explore the system. He can tell us where our problems are, where our strengths are and let him get to work," said Tharin

Dr. Mosely's contract for interim superintendent is for one-year.

Former Superintendent Dr. Joshua Murfree was released from his contract last month in a mutual agreement with the board.
