ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The new interim Dougherty County School Superintendent was officially sworn-in Monday night.

Probate Court Judge Nancy Stephenson gave Dr. David Mosely his oath during Monday's school board meeting.

Dr. Mosely says his top priority is to get to know the school system better, then work to get Dougherty County schools in tip-top shape.

"That's my main mission, just for us to stabilize everything, formulate a plan and work towards very successful progress," said Dr. Mosely.

Dr. Mosely is a former superintendent of three Georgia school systems.

He also served as interim superintendent at three other systems.
