Albany City and Dougherty County leaders will have to wait several months before a judge decides how to split the local option sales tax revenue.

A judge will hear both sides on April 3rd and 4th and then decide how to divide the LOST money.

Leaders from the city and county negotiated for months but failed to reach an agreement by their December 31st deadline.

The revenue split is negotiated every ten years.

For the past 20 years the city has received 60% and the county 40%.  Now both sides want more.
