Police say a Bainbridge woman was held at gunpoint by her boyfriend but was not cooperative with investigators.
Police say 39-year old Milton Samuel held 45-year old Carolyn Smith at gunpoint at their Pinecrest Mobile Home around noon Thursday, then fired shots in the air and fled the home.
Investigator Mark Esquivel spoke with Samuel on the phone and he surrendered to police.
"It was determined that once Samuel fired the firearm he gave her the firearm, but she told investigators that she did not have the firearm. Once we did more investigating we did find the firearm in the area," said Detective Anthony Stubbs.
Samuel is in the Decatur County Jail charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and discharging a firearm within 50 yards of a street.
Smith is charged with tampering with evidence.
