Math, science and social studies were among the subjects high school students were quizzed on during an academic decathlon, Thursday.
Teams from Westover and Dougherty High Schools made it to the finals.
The theme for the competition was Russian culture.
Organizers say the event showed off some of the best students in the Dougherty County school system.
"It does give them the opportunity to show they can excel in something academically and that there are smart and very intelligent," said Cassandra Sampson.
The students form Westover High were the overall winners from Thursday's competition.
