Mitchell County's new Magistrate Court Judge served in law enforcement for over three decades.

E. P. "Bubba" Lamb, began his career in law enforcement at the age of 18 with the Dawson Police Department. He went to work for the Albany Police Department, where he retired in 1999, and went to work for Mitchell County.  

He left the Mitchell County Sheriff's Investigative Division on January 4th.

While at APD, he worked in uniform, was one of the motorcycle officers in the traffic division, worked in the drug unit, was part of the cold case squad in investigations, and was a supervisor in uniform.  

On Friday,  he was sworn in by The Honorable Richard Richardson, Probate Court for Mitchell County as Magistrate Judge.

He began his official duties on Monday morning.  He goes to judge's training in February.
