The Dougherty County Library Board delayed picking a construction company to renovate the downtown library.
Tuesday night, they narrowed the bidders for the $3.5 million dollar project down to two finalists, Talbot Construction Company and Kinney Construction Company, but they decided to wait to vote on which one to choose.
Dougherty County Library Board member Walter Kelley said, "We're just trying to make the right decision cause we have you know our taxpayers' money, and we want to use it wisely, and that's really why we are taking our time doing it."
Once a construction company is picked, work on the project should start in about 60 days and take 7 to 9 months to complete.
