ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A smash and grab burglar pulled a window out at an East Albany convenience store to get inside.  You can see marks on the front doors and windows at the Enmark on Clark Avenue where someone tried to smash them about 2:30 Tuesday morning.

The windows are plexiglass and would not shatter.

The crook then pried one of the front windows away from the building to get in.

He stole 11 cartons of cigarettes and a trash can.

That store has not been broken into in more than one year because of the increased security measures,  and store officials are securing those windows to try to stop future break-in attempts.
