DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

A burglar finds a Dougherty County convenience store's plexiglass door too tough, but he still manages to break into the business. And it was all caught on store surveillance video.

Take a look as this masked man runs up to the Fast Lane on Sylvester Road about 5 AM Sunday.

He throws a cement block at the store front door, and it just bounces off.

The crook tried again, this time hitting a lower window that shattered. The crook quickly grabbed 16 cartons of Newport Cigarettes worth $736 and ran off.

Dougherty County Police think the burglar is a teenager, and may have been involved in another store burglary on Cordele Road December 29th.

"There were cigars taken in that one," said Dougherty County Police Sergeant Chad Kirkpatrick. "And on that one there was some beer taken. But the method of entry was similar. There was a block used to bust the glass. And that sort of thing."

The burglar wore white and black Nike tennis shoes and had a book bag. He's about 5-foot-6, 150 pounds.
