ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Auto repair shops say they're seeing an increase in the number of vehicles damaged in deer collisions.

Workers at Charlie's Paint and body shop have repaired more than 50 vehicles damaged in deer collisions in recent months.

Most of those wrecks happened in November, but the numbers often go up when the weather cools down.

"A lot of the cars we fix, the radiators were not drivable, and we did have one that got hit by two deer and it busted out the side glass and it toe that car up pretty good," said Steve Davis.

On average it costs $2,000 to repair your vehicle if you hit a deer.

Remember, if you see one deer, more are likely nearby. They're most active at dusk and dawn.
