FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) -

A Fitzgerald woman needs a double lung transplant, and you can help her raise money for her medical care after the transplant.

Patricia Turner has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. One of her lungs doesn't work, and only one fourth of her other lung is functioning properly.

"She has COPD, chronic lung disorder, her lungs are shutting down, the doctor told her if she doesn't have this done within the year she will be gone" says Rose Adams, Sister-In-law.

If Turner raises five thousand dollars, an organization called Hope Lives will match it.

There is an account set up for those who are interested in helping at Ameris Bank. The account is called Rose Adams for Patricia Turner's Lung Transplant.
