BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Voter Registration officials in Decatur county say they had a total number of 589 people come out for early voting for the District 11 special Election.

Early Voting was Monday December 31 thru Friday January 4.

There are six candidates who are running for the recently vacant seat that will replace John Bulloch.

Officials in Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Seminole and portions of Mitchell and Thomas Counties are gearing up for Tuesday's special election.

The candidates are: Marshall Berman of Thomasville, Jeffrey Bivins of Cairo, Dean Burke of Bainbridge, Brad Hughes of Blakely, Mike Keown of Coolidge, and Eugene McNease of Thomasville.

Bulloch stepped down in December for medical reasons. All precincts will be open from 7 am to 7 pm.

A run-off election, if needed, will be held on February 5, 2013.
