ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - A woman accused of burglarizing offices at the University of Georgia had left her children and disappeared from her Illinois home about a month earlier.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports that family members of 33-year-old Linda Fellenbaum reported her missing Oct. 25 from Joliet, Ill.

A police spokesman said they made exhaustive efforts to find her because there were concerned about the whereabouts of her three children.

Two were found with relatives in Illinois and Wisconsin and the third had been put up for adoption.

Fellenbaum made her way to Georgia, where she took a job as a housekeeper. Then she was spotted entering offices and taking computer equipment from the Georgia's hotel and conference center on Nov. 27. University police say she was arrested at the Atlanta airport.
