ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

UPDATE: Albany Police have made one arrest in the armed robbery that happened Saturday night at the Sleep Inn on Dawson Road.

APD have arrested and charged 34-year-old Michael Whitaker with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm, and possession of cocaine.

APD continue to search for the second suspect.

 

 

Albany Police are still searching for two suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint. 

It happened around 9:15pm Saturday at the Sleep Inn on Dawson Road.

Albany Police say two men robbed 31 year-old Richard Reeder, of Catersville at gunpoint.

Officials say the suspects took his wallet and keys to his work truck, then took off. No injuries were reported.

One of the men is armed and was last seen wearing army camo pants and a black hoodie.

The other suspect was last seen wearing army camo pants and a black puffy jacket. It's unknown if he is armed.
