MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Moultrie police need your help identifying a masked armed robber who held up the Super Dollar store on Main Street Wednesday night.

"He forces her to open up the cash register, takes an unknown amount of money while holding the gun to her back and telling her to hurry up," said Corporal Raul Leal with the Moultrie Police Department.

We spoke with the cashier at the Super Dollar who held up at gunpoint and as you can imagine she's too shaken up to go on camera, but she did tell us she's even more nervous Friday night because she still works that nightshift.

This is the latest armed robbery in Moultrie in the last month.

Back in December a female masked armed robber hit the Somesh Package store on 5th Street.

Moultrie Police say that was the fourth time in a year that a woman robbed a business at gunpoint.

Cops say people are getting more desperate these days and Wednesday's robbery was no different as the suspect struck at the perfect time.

"It was just the opportunity. It's late, they close at 8 and this happened at 7:30 and it's a pretty dark area," said Cpl. Leal.

Police hope you can recognize the suspect in this video and put this armed and presumably dangerous man behind bars.

Police say the robber is a black male, standing about 5'8", dressed in all black and possibly in his 20's.

If you have any information that might help Moultrie Police, they want you to call them at 890-5500.
