Marijuana grow operation found

LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

The Lee County Sheriff's Office has busted a large marijuana grow house operation at 808 Graves Springs Road.

23 year old Joshua David Driggers is charged with one count of Manufacturing Marijuana and one count of Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime.

A deputy was checking on a semi truck that was illegally parked on the side of the road, and the odor of marijuana was so strong that he smelled it coming from inside the house.

Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals said, "When the guy opened the door, he realized he smelled the smell of marijuana, what appeared to be marijuana, and then he looked through a window, and he saw the guy throwing some green leafy stuff into a bag or something."

Sheriff Rachals say this one plant could have been worth about $15,000 if it had reached maturity.
