ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany nightclub owner has a safety message for you after a woman accused of texting while driving crashed into his car.

These are pictures of Tim Shelton's car that was hit early Tuesday by 22-year-old Lauren Owens' Nissan Pathfinder.

Investigators say she was checking text messages when she slammed into a police cruiser then Shelton's parked car.

Shelton is thankful no one was seriously hurt, but his car is totaled.

"People need to be self conscious of the things that you're doing and the things around you because in a blink of an eye you can really hurt some people real fast," said Shelton.

Owens is charged with texting while driving, failure to maintain a lane and not having her license.
