You may have to wait a little longer than normal to get your tax refund and you can blame Congress.
This year's tax policy wasn't in place until Congress approved that deal to avoid the fiscal cliff Tuesday night.
The IRS is now preparing the proper forms and instructions for taxpayers.
"I would say some may see a major delay like kind of how it was last year, but I think it's going to flow once the system comes up and starts running. Once we get those forms out, we'll be on the go with the IRS then," said H&R Block Manager Ashley Hale.
Tax preparers are optimistic the new forms will go out no later than late January.
