OCHLOCKNEE, GA -

A 90-year old south Georgia woman isn't letting a violent robbery hold her back.

She's back at work at her grocery store in Ochlocknee one day after the attack.

Investigators say three minors walked into Ethel Davis' IGA, shoved her to the ground, and stole money.

A small army of law enforcers helped catch the young suspects.

Ethel Davis's son and IGA Co-Owner Travis Davis says he was just down the street when he heard the store was robbed.

"My mother was the clerk there. She is 90 years old. She was making change and the next thing she knew, she was on the floor. They undoubtedly pushed or shoved her down to the floor, snatched and grabbed money out of the cash register, and fled out the building."

The Thomas County Sheriff's Office got the call around 2:10 Wednesday afternoon.

"When the call came out, our deputies of course responded. Uniform guys. Our investigators responded, our drug squad, even Thomasville City investigators responded. We eventually used the city K-9 to assist and locate the suspects," said Captain Steve Jones.

Investigators say because of the good descriptions of the suspects, and all of the help, the three juveniles were caught within an hour of the robbery.

"I just hope they don't get a slap on the wrist and get out without any consequences for this. This was a violent deal yesterday," said Travis Davis.

Store owners say this was the second robbery they experienced in just the last 10 days.

"Basically the same type of situation. Yesterday was much more violent than the first time," said Travis Davis.

Ethel Davis has owned the IGA in Ochlocknee for more than 60 years.

"She is an elderly lady. She has been working at that business a long time. And I think they may be part of the reason we had such a huge response. Everybody knew her and it kind of struck home," said Jones.

Travis Davis says because of these incidents, he has decided to upgrade the store's video surveillance system.

The ages of the suspects are 16, 15, and 12. They are all charged with robbery.

The 16-year-old was detained at the Loftiss RYDC and will have a detention hearing Thursday.

The 15 and 12 year olds were released to guardians late Wednesday afternoon. Ethel Davis was treated by Thomas County EMS on the scene, but she did not need to be transported to the hospital.
