ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Proud parents at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital rang in the New Year with a new baby Monday.

Kyleigh Marie Harrell was the first New Year's baby born in Albany at 4:58 Tuesday morning.

Mother, Jonna Harrrell, was in labor for 25 hours before Kyleigh finally arrived.

Her parents say she came 5 days early and they couldn't be more happy that she's finally here.

"I'm really excited and I'm still kind of like is she really mine," said Jonna Harrell , New Mother.

"I'd be just as happy on any other day but it is a unique day," said William Harrell, New Father.
