ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Area YMCA invited members and non-members to a New Year's Day tradition today.

Visitors got a chance to visit the central facility on Gillionville Road and the Lee County Branch on Robert B. Lee Drive in Leesburg.

A special fitness class sampler was offered at the Central Facility for members and non-members to try a variety of classes at the Y.

"For 20 something years, the YMCA has opened on New Year's Day from 1-4 in celebration of our number of years the Y has been operating and also to get the New Year kicked off on a healthy start," said Dave Wallace, Executive Director.

The first 103 people at the Albany YMCA received a free t-shirt in honor of the YMCA's 103 years of serving Albany.
