Thomas County roommates are jailed Monday on drug charges.
20-year old Mitchell Hayes and 20-year old Angela Perez were arrested Saturday at Quail Rise apartments.
While checking out a noise complaint, investigators found a two foot marijuana plant, cocaine, and an AR 15 gun rifle in their apartment.
"It's dangerous for anybody to be using or selling drugs and have a firearm. And it's also dangerous for us for them to have a firearm when we come in, in arms reach," said Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.
Hayes and Perez are both charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, producing marijuana, and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony.
