ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

For many people, celebrating New Years Eve includes alcohol. That means taxi cab companies are getting ready for an influx of calls tonight.

Friendly Cab Manager Willie Jackson has driven a taxi in Albany for 30 years and says he helps keep a lot of people out of trouble on New Years Eve.

"We will be out here to accommodate you all tonight, and as I say, it is cheaper to ride with a Friendly Cab than to ride with APD," said Jackson.

Last year, seven people died on Georgia roads and 262 people were arrested on DUI charges during the New Year's holiday period.
