DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -
One Upstate parish says Jesus is making his presence known, right inside their church walls.
Some members said the face of Jesus appears on a door to their sanctuary.
At Care Baptist Church in Duncan, there are many images of Jesus but none as special as the one members see in the wood grain of a door next to the pulpit.
"One day I was sitting in the pew by the door and appeared the image of Jesus, and I was really amazed by it, astonished," said church member Steve Wiatt.
The door and the image have been at the church since it was built in the 1970s. Care Baptist is a small church, with less than 100 members. Some say this image is simply supposed to be there.
"God wanted it out for some reason, maybe he wanted people to see he'll still perform miracles," said Wiatt.
Members welcome visitors to stop by and check out the image for themselves at 849 South 591 near Duncan.
