VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Three planes at Valdosta Regional Airport remain out of commission tonight after a drowsy driver drove straight into the hanger.

Monday night, 24 year old Brandon Cowart fell asleep at the wheel and drove into this hanger. He wasn't seriously hurt, but three airplanes were damaged. One may be totaled. The car went through a fence and bushes, and finally came to a stop after hitting a second hanger.

"I actually found it unbelievable for two reasons, one that car could travel so far and do all that it did and not hit anything else other than the things that it did hit," said Valdosta Airport Manager, Jim Galloway.

Valdosta Police charged Cowart with failure to maintain lane. Insurance adjusters are still totaling the damages but the planes alone cost more than $300,000.
