BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Bainbridge police say meth isn't the only drug being abused in the city.

Investigators learned 40-year old Mildred French would be at the Kangaroo on Dothan Road with prescription pills to sell.

They say they caught French with several hundred dollars worth of Oxycontin and Xanax she said she took from her father.

"A lot of your 30 and 40 year olds that have some kind of chronic pain have been prescribed before, are getting hooked on it. Ultimately some of them, Sissy and some like this case, can make money on the side selling the drugs they don't need," said Major Robert Humphrey.

French was released from the Decatur County Jail after being charged with possession of schedule two and schedule four controlled substances with intent to distribute.
