Moody Airmen deploy overseas

LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) -

A squadron from Moody Air Force Base is on its way to Southwest Asia tonight.

110 airmen left the base at 1 o'clock this morning for a six month deployment.

They'll take over for another unit that has been deployed for six months.

The Air Force won't release the exact location until the unit has made it there.

The troops are part of the 820th Base Defense Squadron; a group that conducts offensive and defensive ground combat operations to protect aerospace forces.
