ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
After an unusually warm late fall and early winter, blustery weather finally made it's way to south Georgia Wednesday night. That means it's time to bundle up.
And that's good news for many retailers who tell us they saw a welcomed increase in sales of cold weather clothes.
Items such as coats, sweaters, and gloves were flying off the shelves.
"We've just had a lot of our coats and pea coats in our women's section in particular coming across the line. Also our men's thermals and kids hats and gloves have been a really hot item as well," says Julia Yarborough with Target.
Winter officially arrived last week and retailers say a lot of customers are just now getting ready for the season.
