ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany lounge is hoping to bounce back from a frightening event with a New Year's Eve party.  The bar and customers were robbed at gunpoint in October.

The Benchwarmer Lounge in East Albany is hosting the party with finger food, music, karaoke, and games.

The manager says everyone is invited to meet the new owners.

"We got a bad rap and a lot of people were scared to come in here," said Manager Missi Cyree. "But we want to assure you, we got a new security system. We're perfectly safe, we're perfectly happy here. And just invite everybody to come in and have a good time with us. We'll get you home safely we promise."

The lounge has a contract with a local taxi driver and can call a cab for patrons if they need a way to get home safely.

Benchwarmer's is also having a grand re-opening party on Saturday, January 12th.
