ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Holiday travelers are using the old terminal at Southwest Georgia Regional Airport for the last time.

Construction on the new terminal remains on schedule. The new 25,000 square foot facility will replace the old terminal that has been in use since 1959.

Construction began in March, and officials say it's right on track.

"Everything stays operating according to schedule. No problems with us this last holiday traffic. We don't anticipate any traffic during the New Year's Eve celebration either," said Assistant Director Kenneth Johnson.

The new terminal should be ready by June.
