Christmas has come and gone, and that beautiful tree must soon come down, but you can see that it serves another purpose.
Lee County Landfill is once again sponsoring the Bring One for the Chipper campaign.
Susan Bryan says you can bring your tree to the landfill at 759 Highway 32 East, where it could be chipped up and reused as mulch for a wildlife habitat.
Century Fire Station is also collecting trees at its location 934 Highway 19 south.
Make sure you remove all decorations and stands.
The landfill will accepts tress Monday thru Saturday from 9AM until 4PM.
