ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany Church is helping feed dozens of families for the holidays.

Members of Union Missionary Baptist Church passed out boxes of food to families in need.

Volunteers packed the boxes at Second Harvest earlier this month on Georgia Gives day.

Union Missionary's pastor says the community has been good to his church so they want to give back.

"This time of year we feel like it is good to give back to the community, there are a lot of people out there who are hurting, and we can at least help them eat" says Willie Corbett, Board of Deacon Chairman.

150 families got a box filled with food.
