TERRELL COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A community center in Dawson is helping to make sure children have gifts for Christmas.

The Positive Directions Youth Center of Terrell County held its second annual "Just In Time for Christmas."

Toys, clothes, and bags of food were given to community members.

Organizers say the community is in need especially this time of year.

"There might be children who don't have items for Christmas, and this event provides some clothing plus some toys for the community and the children just to make sure every child has something for Christmas" says Dorothy Tomlin, Program Director/Owner.

For the past nine years, the center has provided food, clothing, and after school care for children in Terrell County.
