IRWINVILLE, GA (WALB) -
Law enforcers took extra precautions at schools in Irwin County Friday after social media posts about a possible threat.
There were discussions on Facebook Thursday night about someone placing something dangerous in one of the schools.
Police conducted a walk-thrus at schools in the county and patrolled hallways Friday.
Some parents checked out their children early, though administrators said that's not uncommon as some families begin their Christmas travel.
