ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Members of Union Missionary Baptist Church will pass out food boxes to families in need this Saturday.
Volunteers packed the boxes at Second Harvest earlier this month on Georgia Gives day.
Union Missionary's pastor says the community has been good to his church, so they want to give back.
"We thought it'd be a good idea just to give back to the community. The community has been very, very good to our church and we thought it'd be a good idea to give some food to the community," said Union Missionary Baptist Church pastor John Severson.
The first 150 people will get a food box.
The giveaway starts at 10 Saturday morning at Union Missionary Baptist Church at 214 East Oglethorpe Boulevard.
