THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Thomas County prosecutors are considering adding new charges against a Florida man already charged with indecent exposure.

Thomasville Police say several witnesses saw 43-year old Michael Maxwell expose and touch himself during Victorian Christmas Friday night.

Officers on the scene also witnessed the activity and arrested Maxwell.

"When there is a mass gathering, the Thomasville Police Department is going to bring in extra officers and extra security to make sure that the people that are there to have a good time can have a good time and enjoy themselves without have to worry about these outside influences, these outside actions going on. And we're going to put a stop to it and take appropriate action," said Detective Louis Schofill.

Maxwell was released from jail on a $2,100 bond. Since several children say they witnessed the act, prosecutors say they may add child molestation charges.
