ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty Grand Jury indicts 14 people for dog fighting, more than two years after they were busted in a raid.

Eleven of the suspects were arrested April 24th, 2010 when federal, state, and local law enforcers raided a dog fighting ring in the 5200 block of Dower Avenue, off Hill Road, and seized more than 30 dogs.

Prosecutors were waiting on federal prosecutors to indict them, but decided to go ahead and seek state charges.

If convicted, they could each face up to five years in prison.
