ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The search continues for a man with a knife who held up a north Albany fast food restaurant Tuesday night.

Albany Police say at 8:08 p.m., a black man in his late 40s ran into the Krystal on North Slappey Boulevard, showed a knife, jumped over the counter, grabbed a cash register drawer, and ran out of the store.

The robber covered his face with a scarf. He was wearing blue jeans and a plaid jacket. APD spokesperson Phyllis Banks said, "There were about three customers inside along with about four employees. Once he obtained the register, he fled the scene, and right now we're just in the area looking for that suspect."

Investigators recovered what they believe to be the robber's jacket in the 1100 block of 8th Avenue.

If you have any helpful information, investigators want you to call the crime stoppers hotline at 436-tips.
