ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
City leaders hope infrastructure improvements in east Albany will bring new jobs to town.
Tuesday night the City Commissioners unanimously approved extending city sewer lines to a new Payroll Development Authority industrial park and to Southern Ag Carriers. Both are on Sylvester Road.
Southern Ag will pick up part of the tab for the project at their facility.
The trucking company says it will help them hire about 50 new workers.
Officials hope sewer improvements will create new jobs
