Albany sells small piece of land to Georgia DOT

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The city agreed to sell a small piece of land to the Georgia Department of Transportation to clear the way for a road project they say will improve safety conditions at a dangerous interchange.

The Department of Transportation plans to overhaul the Jefferson Street exit on the Liberty Expressway. Commissioners say this is a first step in that project.
